Nationals Stadium (Washington D.C.)-The city of Washington D.C., hadn't been had baseball for 24 years. In the former half of the 20th century, the Washington Senators were Washington D.C.'s team. In 2005, the Montreal Expos moved to Washington D.C., and changed their name to the Nationals. The Nationals continued to play in their old stadium, RFK, until in 2006, construction began for a new Nationals stadium. FInally, after two years of construction, on March 30th, 2008, the Washington Nationals played their first game against the Atlanta Braves. There are 1,800 padded seats behind home plate, and 1,112 suites in the ballpark.

Citizen's Bank Park (Philadelphia)- Opening in 2004, Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia, was the new baseball stadium, after 30 years. The Philadelphia Phillies, along with the Philadelphia Eagles played at Veterans stadium. In the late 1990's both teams campaigned for new stadiums and in 2004, Citizen's Bank Park opened. The ballpark is at the intersection of 10th street, and Pattison avenue. After a Phillies player hits a home run, the liberty bell located in centerfield rings. The centerfield wall is home to an ivy covering. Ashburn Alley, named for great player Richie Ashburn, is located in centerfield, and is a great place to go before, or during the game. Citizen's bank park has had 185 consecutive sellout crowds, according to the MLB.
